Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum
Also called a 'hand car', this piece of track equipment is powered by pumping the handles by hand, hence the names. It was used by track inspectors and track maintenace crews to travel along the tracks to do their work.
It is on loan from Harvey Allen, who got it from the Central Vermont Railway. You can take a trip back in time on this car with the assistance of one of our trained volunteers during regular hours. Be sure to eat your Wheaties when you come.
