This piece of track equipment is powered by pumping the handles back and forth, like a modern rowing machine. It was used by signal inspectors, switch inspectors and track inspectors to travel along the tracks to do their work.

It was donated by Carl Carlson. Its history is not well known.

We also have on loan a replica velocipede built in 2017 by Joshua Redenz.

These machines are not typically available for public use due to their fragile nature, but they are often on display at Trolleyfest.
